ZeOmega eLearning Case Study

Plano, Texas-based ZeOmega provides software for hospitals and medical offices, among others, to enable health care managers to track patients and their treatments. 

Challenges

ZeOmega had no learning management system (LMS) in place; it was relying on ad hoc training, Google forms and wikis to deliver and track learning.

Results

ZeOmega’s team says the Accord LMS has delivered on its promise of being easy to use. For instance, when it comes to creating courses and curricula, ZeOmega’s team can use Accord's intuitive catalog management tools to create, link and publish the learning content in just a few minutes. “In other systems, that same task can take up to 40 minutes to design entries and wade through screens and steps,” said Welty. 

Since Welty’s colleagues have to certify that they understand HIPAA guidelines, ZeOmega found the reporting quick and accessible for obtaining a snapshot of what each worker has registered for and how far they have progressed. Welty's team is automatically notified by email if workers are falling behind. This is one of the many benefits of using Accord LMS. 

“We’ve cut by 50 percent the time to get training information back and forth to our learners. That will only get better when we have our India operations fully utilizing the LMS. At that point, the time-savings to manage training might be as high as 75 percent,” added Welty.
