IMARC Research's Story

Strongsville, Ohio-based IMARC Research, Inc. is a contract research organization (CRO) specializing in the medical device and biotechnology industries. “We monitor clinical research sites around the world and, essentially, look over the work involved in research studies. We make sure these clinical researchers are following the right rules and regulations,” said Shawn Kennedy.

Challenge

IMARC had no experience with LMS technology, was concerned about making significant financial investment in a training platform that might not meet its needs and wanted to make an affordable investment. 

IMARC Research did not know how fast its online training program would grow, so a system that would expand with its customers’ needs was important.

Because IMARC had not used an LMS, they wanted a system that was intuitive and easily learned by LMS administrators and users. 

Results

Since launching its LMS, IMARC Research has sold training to individuals through Accord’s integrated e-commerce storefront and to companies looking for a training platform for a clinical team or department. 

IMARC Inc. has also been able to convert many of its in-house training assets, and easily convert them into SCORM-compliant courses via Adobe Captivate and upload them directly into the Accord LMS for delivery and sale. 

“The Accord LMS is so easy to use that it takes us only a few minutes to upload, deliver and track the outcome of training for our customers,” says Kennedy. “Before implementing the LMS, any one of these tasks would’ve been an hours-long exercise if it were possible at all.” For more case studies from successful clients click here.
