Classical Conversation's Story

Classical Conversations, located in West End, North Carolina, supports homeschooling parents by cultivating the love of learning through a Christian worldview in fellowship with other families. The company starts and nurtures local communities who meet weekly throughout the U.S. and abroad.

Challenge

Classical Conversations provides live training for parents that want to become tutors. Despite extensive product research, the company had been unable to find a Learning Management System that managed and tracked and reported on live training to their satisfaction.

The tutors generally move through the program with their children. This turnover in combination with the company's rapid growth has resulted in approximately 50% increase in new tutors per year, thereby creating a need for a robust and stable training platform.

Classical Conversations also needed to integrate a cohort-coaching pathway for their Sales Representative training.

Results

Classical Conversations was able to build a full featured web portal tailored to their “classical” sensibilities. The LMS successfully provides training to the company's worldwide learners from both PC and mobile devices. The flexibility of the LMS provides nearly 1,000 Sales Representatives visibility into the training pathways utilization.

The company's administrators have customized the reports to provide both progress overview and granular data. Wisner states “The executive team loves the automatic monthly and quarterly reports. They help justify the LMS”.

Classical Conversations has grown from 2,000 learners in 2012 to 10,000 learners in 2016 and has taken advantage of enterprise features such as Teams, LMS Admin types and custom report definitions without having to pay a penalty for their success.
